You've probably heard about Feng
Shui here in Los Angeles, but it just might
seem mysterious to you. It may be hard to imagine what Feng Shui
really is, and how a Feng Shui consultant can work for you in a
chaotic place like Los Angeles.
Have you ever wondered why you feel happy in some rooms and uncomfortable
in others? Why some office environments inspire creativity and others
just drain you? The secret is ENERGY! And the key to that harnessing
that energy isn’t magic - it’s Feng Shui.
The Ancient Chinese Science of Feng
Shui is based on understanding Energy.
Modern Physics understands ALL matter as energy. Feng Shui is no exception.
Your home, your houseplants, the ugly office chair are ALL energy.
And so are you. Ever noticed that you argue more in a certain room?
Or are you still single despite the fact that you feel you have
so much to offer?
It may sound funny, but it could be your space and not the company
you keep. A Feng Shui consultant will tell you that all of the things
mentioned above can have an effect on you, whether or not you are
consciously aware of them.
The practice of Feng Shui focuses on clearing and balancing the
energy of the spaces you inhabit to free the flow of that energy,
so you’re ready to receive more of life’s good opportunities.
Some of the results might include a less stress, improved communication,
better relationships, even love.

What is Feng Shui?
Feng shui is an ancient
Chinese system of aesthetics believed to use the laws of both Heaven
(astronomy) and Earth (geography) to help one improve life by receiving
positive qi. The original designation for the discipline is Kan
The term feng shui literally translates as "wind-water"
in English. This is a cultural shorthand taken from the following
passage of the Zangshu (Book of Burial) by Guo Pu of the Jin Dynasty:

Historically, feng shui was widely used to orient buildings—often
spiritually significant structures such as tombs, but also dwellings
and other structures—in an auspicious manner. Depending on
the particular style of feng shui being used, an auspicious site
could be determined by reference to local features such as bodies
of water, stars, or a compass. Feng shui was suppressed in China
during the cultural revolution in the 1960s, but has since seen
an increase in popularity, particularly in the United States.
